KAHL Summer League and Adult Learn-to-Play Registrations are Now Open!

KAHL Summer League will again be running on Sunday evenings with the earliest game starting no earlier than 5:00pm.  The ten (10) game season will run from May 31 through August 9, with no games on Sunday July 5.  Format is like recent years with Upper (A/B) and Lower (C/D) divisions and players "drafted" onto teams to achieve fun, balanced competition.  Goalies will rotate week to week and change ends between periods.  KAHL Summer League is two 25-minute periods of fast-paced "shinnie" type hockey with face-offs limited to the start of periods only.  All other transitions (offside, icing, goals and goalie possessions) call for clearing the opponent's offensive zone and then play  resuming once the puck comes back out over the blue line.  No checking, keep slap shot wind-ups below the waist and quick penalty shots for flagrant fouls (no PP/PK).  Just fast, fun hockey with "no" stops in play.

Fee for Summer League Forwards & D-men is $350 ---- Goalies at half-price of $175.  Registrations are open now.

Adult Learn-to-Play hosted by Coach Peter Tufts is being offered on Monday nights at ~8:30pm, beginning June 1 and running through August 10.  The program consists eleven (11) weekly sessions for the bargain price of just $295!!!  Classes are geared to beginner/novice players and include "rules of the game", individual skills work, skating/stickhandling/passing drills and live scrimmaging.  Coach Peter is accepting a maximum of 30 skaters, so register early to guarantee yourself a spot.  (If you do not yet know how to skate, we strongly recommend first enrolling in a Learn-to-Skate program such as the Smoky Mountain Skating Academy LTS classes offered through Cool Sports.)

Registrations for Adult Learn-to-Play "Rookie League" are open now.

Check out the Summer League and Learn-to-Play registration pages for more info and to sign-up!!! Registrations will close Wednesday May 27 ---- but spots are limited so don't delay if you want in.
