Registration Highlights

Registrations for Winter 2025-26 KAHL season will open in early July on this site or the CrossBar mobile App, and will close on August 15. Registrations after August 1 but before August 15 will incur a $50 late fee, so sign-up early!

All KAHL players must be at least 18 years of age to register and to participate. There are no exceptions for safety and liability reasons. A Waiver of Liability must be completed and signed (electronically) at the time of registration.

Only players who are registered and current in their fee payments are allowed to participate in KAHL games.

Fees, Game Times & Schedule

This Winter 2025-26 KAHL season features 24 regular season games followed by a double-elimination playoff at season end in the Spring. Total fee for the season is $990, payable in 3 installments with the first $330 due at time of registration.

The team-specific game schedule will be developed and publicly posted once registrations are closed on August 15 and the number of teams by division is established.

KAHL game slots at Cool Sports include Sunday's starting at ~5pm and weeknights starting at 9:30pm or later.

Jerseys & Equipment

The KAHL follows USA Hockey rules and requires all players to wear helmets and face protection. Matching jerseys with numbers are required and are specific to each team. Once rostered, please contact your captain for more information on acquiring a used or new jersey.

Adult Learn-to-Play Summer '25

We’re thrilled to offer the return of Adult Learn-To-Play Rookie League on Monday nights at 8:40pm for beginners and novices to work on their skills, hosted by veteran coach Peter Tufts. We’re looking to limit registrations to 30 skaters for this weekly, weeknight offering to assure individual attention at an affordable price. Hockey rules, basic positioning/play concepts, skill drills and scrimmaging will all be incorporated. Come on out and learn to play this great game that we all love!

The cost for 10 weekly summer sessions is $300 (plus Crossbar registration fees). Please send any inquiries to coachtuftstn@gmail.com.

Drop-In participants are now welcome! If you did not register but still want some training and practice, we can accept ~6 drop-in players per week (to a limit of 30 total skaters). Cost is $35 per session using PayPal or Venmo. Please reach out to Peter at CoachTuftsTN@gmail.com to reserve a spot!

Summer Draft League 2025

SUMMER LEAGUE REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. WE HAVE A GREAT RESPONSE ALLOWING FOR 8 TEAMS --- 4 "UPPER" AND 4 "LOWER". SEE YOU AT THE RINK!!!

The KAHL Summer League 2025 is set to start June 1. Fast-paced, two 25-minute periods, no scorekeeping, short benches, penalty shots on flagrant fouls (no PP/PK) and a chance of hearing Jimmy's playlist of "Disco Dance Favorites"!!!

Keep it chill and have some laughs -- ie; "there's no scouts in the crowd." Involve and coach up your less experienced teammates to make it fun for all. Any "jackass-ery" will result in immediate removal from further Summer League play. Let's have fun out there playing the game we all love!

"A" Div'n (was B) KAHL 2025-26

Welcome to the returning player registration site for KAHL "A" Division (previously B-League) -- for elite, primarily younger players (<40), most of whom have previously played professional, college varsity/club, juniors and/or AAA/AA travel hockey. Knoxville's top players are the "A Team"!

"A" Division features its own 10-game Fall-only season, sharing the ice-time schedule with B/C/D Divisions. Plans for Jan-May "A-League" will be developed in concert with captains once we see the success of the Fall season format.

Welcome to the returning player registration site for KAHL "B" Division (previously C1) -- for upper-intermediate/advanced players, mostly under 50 years old, who have high-level skills in skating, shooting, positional/team play, level of "compete" and a high hockey IQ.

Welcome to the returning player registration site for KAHL "C" Division (previously C2) -- for intermediate level players who have much experience in rec league play and/or may have played at higher level in their younger days.

Full season fee of $990, payable in full or in three (3) payments of $330 (first due at registration, second on Oct 1 and final on Feb 1, 2026).

Thank you for your interest in joining the KAHL! This registration page is for those who have not previously played in the primary Winter season of adult rec league hockey at Cool Sports. This registration info allows us to prioritize applications and be able to contact you.

All new players will be required to participate in a skills assessment scrimmage to determine your appropriate division, before assigning you to a division-appropriate team, if open roster spots are available. NOTE: You will only be required to pay the player fee if/when you are assigned to a team roster.

"D" Div'n (was C3) KAHL 25-26
