Registration Highlights

Registrations for 2026 Summer League is now open! Registration will close when we fill out an even number of 10-skater teams or no later than Wednesday May 27.

All KAHL players must be at least 18 years of age to register and to participate. There are no exceptions for safety and liability reasons. A Waiver of Liability must be completed and signed (electronically) at the time of registration.

Only players who are registered and current in their fee payments are allowed to participate in KAHL games.

Fees, Game Times & Schedule

Summer League will be much like last year --- fast-paced, friendly games with short benches (targeting 10 skaters per team) and few stops in play to maximize playing time:

  • Upper (A/B) and Lower (C/D) divisions of "drafted" teams
  • Two 25-minute periods --- no switching ends, except goalies
  • No PP/PK's -- Quick penalty shots on flagrant violations
  • "Shinnie" style play --- clear the offensive zone on offsides, icing, goals and goalie possessions. Keep the game moving!
  • No checking (of course) and keep wind-ups below the waist
  • 10 game season --- Sunday May 31 thru August 9
  • Sunday evening games, with a possible weeknight if needed.
  • Fee of $350 and goalies $175 --- same as last summer

Jerseys & Equipment

The KAHL follows USA Hockey rules and requires all players to wear helmets and face protection. Matching jerseys with numbers are required and are specific to each team. Once rostered, please contact your captain for more information on acquiring a used or new jersey.

KAHL Summer League 2026

registrations are now open for the KAHL summer league 2026 !!!

Sign up today to secure a roster spot !!!

The KAHL Summer League 2026 is set to start Sunday May 31. Upper (A/B) and Lower (C/D) divisions are planned.  Fast-paced "shinny style" hockey.  "Clear the O Zone" transitions rather than face-offs for icing, off-sides, goals or goalie possessions --- for maximum ice-time and keeping play going.  Quick penalty shots on any flagrant fouls so everyone stays in the game (no PP/PK).  Absolutely no checking and in the spirit of a chill, safe Summer League season, please keep slapshot wind-ups below waist high.

Summer season is same as last summer with ten (10) games of two 25-minute running time periods.  Fee for the season is $350 --- goalies at half price of $175.  Fee reflects rosters with "short benches" to maximize ice time.  Players will be assigned to teams to balance & mix talent among forwards and D-men.  Goalies will rotate teams week-to-week and switch ends between periods.

Keep it chill and enjoy meeting new teammates. "Coach up" and involve your less experienced teammates to make it fun for all. Any "jackass-ery" will result in immediate removal from further Summer League play. Let's have fun out there on the ice --- and perhaps with a few cold ones post-game!
