New KAHL Divisions

In an effort to have a more straightforward naming convention, the KAHL has renamed the divisions in within the league.  Previously we had no A-League, but 3 C-Leagues (C1, C2, and C3).  The new  KAHL divisions are as follows:

"A" Division (formerly B League) - Elite Division - Players in this division have played competitive hockey at the college, junior, or professional level, and are typically our youngest group still playing at a high-energy level.

"B" Division (formerly C1) - Advanced/Upper Intermediate Division  - Players in this division have strong skills at skating, stick handling, shooting, positioning and play-making along a high "compete level" and hockey IQ.  Typically a bit older on average than "A" players, and may have played at an elite level in their younger years.

"C" Division (formerly C2) - Intermediate Division - Players in this division can skate, stick handle, and shoot at a relatively competitive pace --- occasionally with their head up!  Most have a significant amount of adult rec hockey experience (i.e., most are >40) and those >50may have played at a higher, faster level in the past but have slowed down since.

"D" Division (formerly C3) - Advanced Beginner Division - Players in this division may be relatively new to the sport and still learning to skate, stick handle, shoot and play-make.  Some players may simply appreciate slower-paced action in which they can compete with like players..

Summer League 2025 - Summer league play will consist of an upper and lower division as follows:

A/B - Elite/Advanced Intermediate Division

C/D - Intermediate/Advanced Beginner
